Is The Recession Over For Australian Business?

The Australian dollar is now worth over US$0.83, up from a low of a little over US$0.67 only back in October. While the Euro still leaves the Australian dollar in the dust, the US dollar has made significant gains on the yen.

No guarantees, but as things further stablilise in the world markets, Australian business will start looking more attractive to investors. Because the Aussie dollar is a commodity-based currency, a worldwide trend of upward sales is guaranteed to bring gains to the Australian business world, even as currencies based on other standards begin to slide.

If China’s market values continue to decline, look for Australian business values to rise in relation to the rest of the world.
